Backpacking

2 to 3 days · Moderate · All gear and meals provided

A weekend on the trail takes you through old forest, past creeks and waterfalls, and into the silence and solitude you have been longing for. The destinations vary through the year. The invitation is always the same: set down what you have been carrying and actually arrive.

Whether this is your first night in the backcountry or your hundredth, the trip is built for reflection. Unhurried miles, good food, campfire conversation with room in it for honesty, and enough quiet to hear yourself again.

Fly Fishing

Half day · Easy · All gear and meals provided

The morning begins before sunrise with breakfast cooked over the fire. As the light comes up, everyone takes their place on the water. The trout streams run cold and clear, and the mist is still rising.

A guide moves among the group through the morning, retying leaders, suggesting flies, and offering a word of casting advice, but mostly leaving you to the water and the quiet.

Around mid-morning everyone gathers back at the fire for coffee, conversation, and an early lunch. Whether you catch a fish is beside the point. You will find it easy to rest.
